The job hunt is over and now its back to work. A better position could not have been thrown at me! My job search was winding down and I was lucky enough to have several offers on the table. Then as I was about to make the final decision Gateway for Cancer Research found me. This position combines my passion for the digital world with helping thousands of people who have been touched my cancer. My mother is a breast cancer survivor therefore this is near and dear to my heart. How lucky am I to wake up every morning knowing that my actions are helping others….and I am getting paid for it! Much more to come ……
We are hosting and upcoming race benefiting Cancer Research for the Walter Payton Cancer Fund on Sept 12, 2009 in Arlington Heights, IL
There are many ways to help us out for the race ….volunteers to help before and after the race, running or even a donation. You can contact me directly or visit the website for further information.
Training…..well it just has not been my season, but that is OK. Between job searching, torn liagaments, sickness and finally crashing my car last week all I can do is laugh. We were running this morning and having “food confessions” from the day before. We determined who ate the most/worst its pretty funny. Let’s just say this morning my friend “Sweets” won. My last race will be this Sunday. This will be my longest race, mile swim, 25 bike and 10k run. Great stories are sure to follow next week.
